Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has claimed the title of the most-streamed African artiste on Spotify, surpassing fellow Nigerian stars Burna Boy and Davido.

With an impressive 8 billion streams, Wizkid solidifies his place as one of Africa’s most successful global exports.

Burna Boy, who took second place, amassed 7.5 billion streams but fell short of Wizkid’s remarkable record. Rema and Tems followed in third and fourth places, recording 4.37 billion and 3.24 billion streams, respectively.

Wizkid’s achievement highlights his consistent impact on the global music scene. Known for hits like “Kese (Dance),” he has expanded the reach of African music through innovative sounds and collaborations with international stars, which have helped grow his worldwide fan base.

While Davido made it to the top 10 with 2.5 billion streams, he ranked seventh, trailing behind the leading artistes. CKay secured the eighth position with 2.33 billion streams, followed by Ayra Starr with 2.2 billion streams.

Omah Lay and Asake completed the list with 1.93 billion and 1.9 billion streams, respectively.
