The city of Enugu was stunned by a life changing event, Goal Setting Conference held on Saturday January 18, 2025 at the House on the Rock Church with the powerful theme Take Charge.

The conference brought together over 2000+ professionals, visionaries, change-makers for a day of growth, learning, and strategy with the goal to inspire attendees to take ownership of their lives, define their future, and harness the power of goal setting.

The event organized by The Ben Nnam Foundation, provided a unique opportunity for participants to gain insights from seasoned speakers, including Dr. Uloma Nwogu, Mr. Solomon Chimaechi Okeke, Aniekan Usoroh, Dr. Peace Okolo, Ben Nnam and Elisha Mamman.

Each speaker brought their wealth of knowledge to the table, sharing practical strategies to achieve success in various aspects of life be it health, finances, or personal growth.

Empowering Excerpts From the Speakers

Mr. Solomon Chimaechi Okeke’s session was titled, putting on the armour. He stressed the importance of leadership, voice, and building bridges. “To truly excel, you must be a leader, a voice, and a bridge connecting people and opportunities,” he said.

Dr. Uloma Nwogu provided invaluable advice on shedding the weight of distractions and boundaries, encouraging attendees to “dare to write down your visions” and embrace firm but polite boundaries, particularly in relationships and commitments.

Dr. Peace Okolo’s talk focused on holistic well-being, emphasizing the need to balance physical, mental, social, and spiritual health. She reminded the crowd, “Your body is the temple that will carry you through life, so nurture it with care.” Her tips on hydration and proper nutrition were met with laughter and nods of agreement, reinforcing the importance of self-care.

Mr. Elisha Mamman provided a compelling session on goal setting, teaching that life is like a war, success doesn’t depend on strength but on strategy. “Goal setting is a system that allows you to own your life,” he explained, urging attendees to be intentional about their choices and actions. He also pointed out that the key to overcoming life’s hurdles lies in asking the right questions at the right time.

Dr. Ben Nnam, the driving force behind the event, emphasized on consistency. He urged attendees to focus on building a legacy and avoid the temptation to constantly switch from one business or skill to another. “Success comes when you stay consistent, and that consistency leads to recognition and value,” he shared.

The message of consistency was echoed by other influential speakers such as Aniekan Usoroh, who urged participants to see themselves as a project, with boldness and audacity in their goals.

The conference wasn’t just about theory, it was about transformation. Attendees walked away with actionable insights that they could apply immediately to their personal and professional lives.

Mercy Uchenna, a participant and writer, shared how the conference inspired her to take charge of her goals this year. “I learned that to achieve anything, I have to be intentional,” she said. “The event was a reset for me, and I’m more motivated than ever to take action.”
