Nigerian singer Spyro has come to the defense of former Big Brother Naija star Nengi, following rumors about her pregnancy.

An Instagram blog had alleged that Nengi is expecting a child with a popular governor, leading to widespread speculation.

In response, Nengi clarified on her X (formerly Twitter) account that she is indeed pregnant but not for any governor.

She reacted that the rumors not only affect her but also involve people she holds in high regard. Reacting to the situation, Spyro took to his Instagram page to urge critics to focus on their own lives.

He wrote, “Honestly, ya’ll should pls leave her alone and face your lives o. That baby is of the lord and a BIG gift btw. BEAUTIFUL IN AND OUT. Love always #Nengi.”

Meanwhile, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has denied allegations suggesting he is responsible for Nengi’s pregnancy.

He attributed the viral claims to political opponents attempting to tarnish his reputation. His Director of New Media, Dr. Kola Oredipe, addressed the claims in a post on social media, dismissing them as baseless fabrications.

Nengi expressed her desire to enjoy her pregnancy in peace and clarified that the allegations are unfounded.
