Nollywood veteran Segun Arinze has addressed persistent claims of homosexuality within the Nigerian movie industry.

Speaking in an interview with Arise TV, the 59-year-old actor dismissed the allegations, emphasizing that he does not engage in such activities and prefers to live a straightforward life.

In his statement, Arinze responded, “I do not bend over, so I cannot react to it. If others choose to, that’s their decision. They are adults and have a right to do whatever they want.

It’s none of my business.” He further stressed his focus on professionalism and avoiding unnecessary controversies, adding, “I like to live my life honestly, focus on my business, and stay professional.”

Born Segun Aina, Arinze began his career as a singer, gaining initial recognition despite the limited success of his debut album, Dream.

He later transitioned to acting, becoming a household name after his role in the 1996 classic movie Domitilla. Over the years, he has appeared in more than 100 films, solidifying his status as a Nollywood icon.
