Manchester United legend Roy Keane has heavily criticized Marcus Rashford following the Red Devils’ 2-0 Premier League loss to Arsenal on Wednesday. Keane, known for his blunt assessments, described Rashford’s overall performance as “shocking” and labeled Manchester United’s display as “rubbish.”
The match at the Emirates Stadium saw Arsenal secure victory with goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba, leaving Manchester United with little to show for their efforts.
Speaking during a live watchalong on The Overlap, Keane didn’t hold back in his critique of Rashford. “I will tell you something, Marcus Rashford came on there. His general play as a footballer is shocking,” Keane remarked.
He further highlighted Rashford’s lack of impact after coming on as a substitute, pointing out his ineffective contributions, including a poor header. “Have United’s subs given anything since coming on? Nothing. The subs have done nothing,” he added.
Keane’s frustration extended to the entire Manchester United squad. “They were rubbish. Manchester United deserve nothing anyway,” he said. “You know what happens with United? They fool you, they fool you. They are not dynamic.”
