Nigerian Entertainment Industry Now the Biggest in the World – Club Secret CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of Club Secret, Asiwaju Damilola Odeniyi, has lauded the Nigerian entertainment industry, declaring it the largest and most influential in the world.

Speaking with Tribune Online on Saturday morning, Damilola highlighted the strides made by Nigerian artistes, crediting their talent and hard work for elevating the country’s profile on the global stage.

According to the CEO, the American entertainment industry, once considered the pinnacle, now looks to Nigeria for inspiration and collaboration, thanks to the raw talent consistently emerging from the country.

“We are the hottest now, unlike those days,” Damilola remarked. “The so-called American industry recently started looking up to our artistes for features and collaborations, considering the raw talents coming out of the country.”

Acknowledging Industry Pioneers and Rising Stars

Damilola praised iconic figures such as 2face, Dbanj, Psquare, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy for putting Nigeria on the global map. Their contributions, he noted, have opened doors for many and set a benchmark for excellence in the industry.

He also encouraged upcoming artistes to persevere, emphasizing that hard work and dedication would eventually yield success. “To the young artistes out there, don’t relent on your efforts. Hard work pays, and sooner or later, you will reap the benefits of your labor,” he advised.

The CEO underscored the intrinsic connection between the club business and music, as Club Secret gears up to celebrate its sixth anniversary this December. He attributed much of the success of his establishment to the vibrant music scene in Nigeria, which he said fuels the nightlife economy.

“In the spirit of celebrating my Club’s six years of existence, I want to appreciate Nigerian artistes for making our club business thrive. There would be no clubs without music,” he said.

“Without any iota of doubt, the Nigerian entertainment industry is the biggest in the world right now,” he added.
