Niger Tornadoes Bolstered by Key Players Ahead of Sunshine Stars Clash

Niger Tornadoes have received a significant boost ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 17 encounter with Sunshine Stars, as Victor Okoro and Abba Khalid rejoin the squad.

The duo, who have been sidelined due to injuries, are now fully fit and available for selection.

The Tornadoes’ camp remains watchful over Moses Omoduemuke, who faces a late fitness test to determine his availability for the crucial game.

The match will take place at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna this Sunday. Niger Tornadoes, fondly referred to as the Ikon Allah Boys, will aim to replicate their success from last season’s corresponding fixture, where they emerged victorious with a 2-1 win.

In that encounter, Bashir Usman and Clinton Jephta found the back of the net for the Tornadoes, while Sunshine Stars’ Lucky Nwafor managed to score a consolation goal.

Sunday’s match presents an opportunity for the hosts to strengthen their position in the league standings, while Sunshine Stars will be eager to avenge last season’s defeat.
