Gospel singer and founder of Spotlite Nation, Moses Bliss, has broken his silence on the departure of former signee Ebuka Songs, who left the record label just 11 months into a two-year contract.
Bliss, widely known for his hit song Daddy Wey Dey Pamper, discussed the situation during a press conference at The Experience 2024 music concert. Both he and Ebuka Songs performed separately at the event, marking their first major appearances since the split.
When asked about his relationship with Ebuka Songs, Bliss clarified that there was no bad blood between them. “Me and Ebuka Songs? There are no issues between us. Of course, he was signed to Spotlite Nation. He just said he wants to do things on his own,” Bliss explained.
The gospel artist went on to reveal that Ebuka had requested an early release from his contract. “Our contract didn’t end when it was supposed to. It was a three-year contract. I think 11 months into it, he said he wants to do his music alone. I prayed about it and I said, ‘You can go.’”
Bliss emphasized that Spotlite Nation’s mission is to promote the gospel and provide opportunities for artists to minister. “We hold no grudge against him. The goal is for Jesus to be seen. Our goal is to give people the opportunity to minister the gospel,” he said.
Reflecting on his time working with Ebuka Songs, Bliss expressed goodwill and appreciation. “We are not fighting. I love him and I am happy to have been part of his journey. I wish him the best.”
