Nollywood actor and filmmaker Linc Edochie has taken to Instagram to share a deeply personal tribute to his younger brother, veteran actor Yul Edochie.
In a video posted on June 18, the siblings are seen embracing and laughing, a moment of genuine warmth set against the backdrop of recent public controversies surrounding Yul’s marital decisions.
Accompanying the video, Linc wrote: “Blood is thicker than water. A lot of people don’t know this; it was my brother Yul who asked me to come back to the film industry in 2015 after a prolonged absence… Some of the things I do in movies, he taught me because he is a theatre professional, while I have a passion for it. Love him or hate him, this man remains one of the greatest actors and filmmakers in this country.” His wife, Yinka Edochie, added her voice to the post with a heartfelt “Thank you Jesus!!!” and prayers for her husband and brother-in-law.
The post drew a mix of praise and criticism. Supporters lauded the display of familial solidarity, while others voiced lingering frustrations related to Yul’s separation from his former wife, actress May Edochie.
