The Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, has paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) for Zone 1, AIG Ahmed Ammani, at the Zone 1 Headquarters.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Police Command.
During the visit, CP Salman Dogo Garba welcomed AIG Ahmed Ammani to Kano and reaffirmed the commitment of his command to tackling security challenges in the state. He indicated the successes recorded in combating criminal activities such as gang-related crimes (known as Daba) and other offenses through strategic collaboration with the Zone 1 Headquarters.
In response, AIG Ahmed Ammani commended CP Dogo for his efforts in maintaining peace and security in Kano. He emphasized the importance of enhanced information sharing and collaboration between Zone 1 and the Kano State Police Command to ensure lasting peace and effectively address any emerging security threats.
