DJ Lambo, one of Nigeria’s leading disc jockeys, has claimed that female DJs are more talented and hardworking than their male counterparts on The Truth podcast, hosted by Mory Coco.
According to DJ Lambo, women in the industry often work twice as hard as men to achieve recognition. She praised female DJs, especially DSF, describing her as talented, versatile, and a great role model.
DJ Lambo highlighted the challenges faced by female DJs, emphasizing that women often need to put in more effort to gain success.
“I feel like women are even better DJs than men… DSF is that babe that can actually DJ; she is actually hot, and she can actually act. Like I said, for women, you need to work twice as hard [as men] to get half [of what men have],” she explained.
DJ Lambo also shared her unique journey into music, revealing that her love for music was inspired by her father. Interestingly, she discovered only later that he was also a DJ.
“My dad introduced me to music. I didn’t know my dad was a DJ until I became a DJ. And my mum was like, ‘Your dad used to be a DJ.’ I was like, ‘Oh, no wonder,’” she recalled.
When asked about her struggles, DJ Lambo pointed out the physical demands of carrying heavy equipment as one of her biggest challenges.
