Chelsea has started talks with Bayern Munich about their young forward Mathys Tel. The discussions are still at an early stage, with Chelsea wanting to learn more about the player’s situation.
Tel, 19, has struggled for game time this season under Bayern manager Vincent Kompany, making just 12 appearances so far. Despite this, Bayern sees him as an important player for their future, according to the club’s sporting director, Christoph Freund.
Bayern is reportedly interested in Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku. The German club has already agreed on personal terms with the forward, making him a top target for this transfer window. This has sparked rumors of a potential swap deal involving Nkunku and Tel. However, no official offer has been made yet, and such a deal would be complicated to pull off.
Meanwhile, Tel seems determined to stay and succeed at Bayern. Reports suggest he recently spoke to Kompany, expressing his desire to fight for a spot in the team.
Chelsea and Bayern might revisit talks about these players. For now, it’s all about early conversations and mutual interest, with no big moves confirmed yet.
