Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo revealed on Wednesday that he is weighing up an international switch to represent Nigeria’s Super Eagles. Speaking at a post-match press conference in Philadelphia following Chelsea’s 3–0 victory over Esperance de Tunisie in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, the Londoner said discussions about his international future are on the horizon.
The former Manchester City academy graduate opened the scoring deep into first-half stoppage time, rising to meet a corner with a powerful header to put Chelsea 1–0 ahead.
The win secured their place in the knockout rounds and set up a last-16 tie against Benfica. “That is a question I have answered quite a bit recently,” Adarabioyo told News Agency of Nigeria correspondent. “Yeah, it is something that we are looking into in the future. It is a conversation I want to have; we will see how that goes.”
Adarabioyo, who has yet to be capped by England at senior level, insisted his immediate focus remains on helping Chelsea progress in the Club World Cup.
He added that preparations are already under way for the upcoming match against Benfica, as the side looks to maintain momentum in the tournament.
