Due to the recent killings in Yelewata village, the Benue State Government has declared tomorrow, June 18th, as a public holiday, as President Bola Tinibu will be visiting the state.
President Bola Tinibu has shifted his visit from Kaduna to Benue state, stating that he’ll clear his schedule in order to pay a condolence visit to Benue state.
He plans to meet local leaders and hold a town hall meeting in order to seek lasting solutions.
The Benue state government announced that the holiday is intended to allow residents to gather in large numbers to welcome the President.
While making this announcement, he clarified that the directives exclude workers from critical services such as security agencies, medical personnel, and banking institutions.
