Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has resigned as National Chairman of Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress (APC). He announced his resignation on Friday.
Ganduje, who previously served as Governor of Kano State, stated health concerns as his reason for stepping down. He said he needs to focus on his well-being.
Following Ganduje’s resignation, the APC’s National Vice Chairman is now expected to lead the party in an acting capacity.
This interim arrangement will remain until the party holds its national convention, which is scheduled for December.
