Arewa Think Tank Forum sing praises to Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, for playing a vital role in President Bola Tinubu’s security plans.

In a statement, the group’s convener, Alhaji Abdul Malik, said Matawalle is working hard to support the “Renewed Hope” agenda by improving military operations and encouraging better teamwork among security agencies.

Since becoming minister, Matawalle has pushed for better welfare, training, and equipment for soldiers to help them fight terrorism, banditry, and other crimes.

Malik said Matawalle’s time as Zamfara State governor helped him understand how to handle security issues.

His method of combining dialogue and military action is now part of Tinubu’s wider security strategy.

The forum believes Matawalle’s efforts will help the government not only fight insecurity but also deal with its root causes like poverty and unemployment.
