Beans might not be the first meal that comes to mind on a Monday, but Daniel Ochuko’s fried beans recipe is making netizens rethink how they see this classic dish.
The process is simple as you’ll first of all cook your beans until they are soft. In another pot, heat up some vegetable oil not palm oil.
Then, add roughly blended onions, a mix of peppers, dried fish, kpomo, and crayfish powder. Let it cook for a while so the flavors blend together.
Once that’s done, stir in the cooked beans, add a little more crayfish powder, and let it simmer. Just like that, your fried beans is ready to enjoy!
The best way to eat it is with soft Agege bread, or enjoy it with a cold bowl of garri.
