The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has intercepted popular social media personality, Idris Okuneye Olanrewaju, better known as Bobrisky, at the Seme Border in an attempt to leave the country. This was revealed in a press release issued by the NIS on October 21, 2024.
According to the statement signed by DCI KT Udo, the Public Relations Officer of the Service, Bobrisky is a person of interest due to recent public concerns, and he is currently undergoing interrogation. The NIS noted that the interrogation is still ongoing and that Bobrisky will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
The Immigration Service reiterated its commitment to securing Nigeria’s borders and assured the public that it will continue to carry out its duties professionally. The NIS emphasized its responsibility to protect the nation’s borders and act within the law.
