A 14-year-old girl has shared a chilling account of her experience as a s*x worker in Ogun State. She was one of 14 girls rescued from a suspected trafficking ring last Wednesday.

The girls, aged 12 to 39, were allegedly being forced into prostitution at a hotel in Ifo.

The young survivor, who’s name is being withheld, said she was trafficked from Akwa Ibom State in January.

She told reporters that she was promised a job as a sales girl. But when she arrived, she was forced into sex work. She said she slept with 10 to 12 men every day!

Each man paid between N1,000 and N2,000. Sometimes she made N20,000 a day, but she had to give all the money to her boss, a woman named Idem Joy.

The girl also described a terrifying ritual. She said Idem Joy cut off some of her hair and told her it was to stop her from running away.

She also mentioned that some of the girls had their pictures taken and others even had blood taken. It was really scary, she said.

Another girl, age 17, said she was brought to Ogun State in November. She said she had to swear an oath while standing naked on a bible!

She was told she had to work for a year before she could be free. She also had to give all her earnings to her boss.

The 17-year-old said she sometimes had 10 customers a day, each paying between N1,000 and N5,000. She said she just wants to go home.

The Ogun State Amotekun Corps raided the hotel and arrested 15 suspects, including Idem Joy. They also found a lot of stuff at the hotel, including cash, drugs, condoms, and other things.

The Corps Commandant, Brigadier General Alade Adedigba (retd.), said the girls were trafficked from Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Delta states.

The police are still investigating this terrible case. Its so sad what these girls went through.
