President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed Abuja on Saturday evening to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in the United Arab Emirates. The event, scheduled from January 12 to 18, will focus on driving sustainable development and global progress.
The presidential jet departed at 6:30 pm, with President Tinubu traveling at the invitation of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The summit will bring together world leaders, policymakers, and business executives to explore solutions for accelerating the shift toward a sustainable global economy.
This year’s theme, “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” sets the stage for discussions on advancing energy, transportation, public health, and economic reforms. President Tinubu will use the platform to showcase Nigeria’s strides in these areas under his administration.
During his visit, the Nigerian president and his team are expected to engage with UAE leaders to address matters of mutual interest between the two countries.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16, following the conclusion of the summit and other engagements.
