Arsenal legend Paul Merson has declared Chelsea as having “probably the strongest squad in the Premier League.” The former midfielder made the remarks ahead of Chelsea’s highly anticipated clash against Tottenham this Sunday, a match he believes the Blues are poised to win.

Chelsea have quietly climbed to an impressive second place in the league standings, sitting just behind table-toppers Liverpool. Enzo Maresca’s men have leapfrogged both Manchester City and Arsenal in recent weeks, showcasing their resurgence as serious contenders in the Premier League. Despite their strong position, Merson noted that Chelsea’s performances in key games have fallen short.
