Delta State highlife musician Dr. Arube Otor, widely known as Isoko Fela One, makes headlines. The celebrated artist of 55 years is gearing up to marry three women: Oghenekome, Ewoma, and Oghenekaro on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
The event will take place at the Anglican Church Field, London Base, in Uzere Kingdom, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Dr. Arube Otor isn’t just any musician; he’s a Delta State legend. His love for Isoko highlife music has not only brought him fame but has also carved out a legacy spanning over three decades.
Arube worked as a driver while chasing his passion for music. His determination paid off, and 12 years ago, he formed his dance band, aptly named Arube. Since then, he’s released over ten albums that have resonated deeply with his fans.
The musician’s foster son, Emperor Efih, shared that the plan initially involved four brides, but one opted out for personal reasons.
According to Efih, “He wanted to save costs by marrying four women at once, but we ended up with three. Each relationship started at a different time and place. None of the women is from his community, which makes it even more interesting.”
