British-Nigerian rapper Darkoo has accused Peter Okoye, known as Mr. P from the renowned duo P-Square, of sabotaging her latest music video, “Focus on Me.”

In a series of tweets dated January 11, 2025, Darkoo alleged that despite securing the necessary clearances to sample P-Square’s hit “Do Me,” Mr. P had her video removed from YouTube for six days.

Darkoo stated that she had legally obtained the rights to use the sample, with P-Square entitled to 50% of the song’s earnings.

She claimed that Mr. P insisted on being featured on the track, even recording a new verse, and advised her not to involve his brothers, Jude and Paul, in the clearance process, suggesting they might cause “unnecessary problems.”

Upon the song’s release, Darkoo alleged that Mr. P became confrontational when she declined his request to be featured, leading to the video’s temporary removal.

She expressed her disappointment, noting that she had admired Mr. P and P-Square growing up, and found his actions hurtful and detrimental to her work.

As of now, Mr. P has not publicly responded to these allegations. The music video for “Focus on Me” has been reinstated on YouTube, and Darkoo has encouraged her fans to support the release by watching and sharing the video.
